"Fifteen Billion Dollars isn't a whole lot.................." Per our Governor.
Detroit News: "Fifteen Billion Dollars isn't a whole lot, but it's something." per Governor Granholm. Is it any surprise we can't get a "right sized" budget done, on time, without holding the State hostage? If $15 Billion "isn't a whole lot" then a couple billion deficit probably isn't something to concern ourselves with if I am following her logic.
This comment was in regards to the Senate deliberating over an extension of Jobs Stimulus legislation. These short term "fixes" have to stop. This requires courageous leadership, at all levels of government. Something that is difficult to find these days. Far too much concern over getting re-elected.........and compromised focus on doing what is right long term.
